The Rampion Girl or the Story of Rapunzel

A Grimm’s Fairy Tale
for Narrator
and String Quartet
(Full Score)

Rapunzel, officially The Rampion Girl or the Story of Rapunzel is for string quartet and narrator – approx. 23’00”. This delightful tale is true to the original by the Brothers Grimm. Like all good fairytales, it is a story of good versus evil. There is a witch named Gothel. Her victims are a young couple forced to give up their child. The hero is a prince, and the heroine is Rapunzel, who after great adversity manage to triumph. Best of all, we can follow the story with themes for both characters and actions. The piece is recommended for audiences of all ages.
