The Golden Goose

The Golden Goose is a story that involves the triumph of a good heart and an honest character.  Dunstan is the youngest of three sons and the one deemed least likely to succeed by his family.  Magic occurs when, unlike his older brothers, Dunstan tells a shriveled old man the truth.  This leads Dunstan to a goose with feathers of pure gold that he takes with him on his adventures.  The goose sticks to those with greed in their hearts and forces them to trail after Dunstan and the goose wherever they go.  Will Dunstan find success and happiness?  Find out in this work for narrator and clarinet quartet.
